Curtains Up Players presents: “Dutchman” by LeRoi Jones

May 12 - May 14

Jean Carlo Auditorium | City Hall | 800 5th Ave

Friday & Saturday 7:30 pm | Sunday 2:30pm

Centered squarely on racial conflict, "Dutchman" is literally a shocking play - in ideas, in language, in honest anger. It illuminates as with a flash of lightning a deadly serious problem - and brings an eloquent and exceptionally powerful voice to the American theater.
"Dutchman" opened in New York City on March 24, 1964, to perhaps the most excited acclaim ever accorded an off-Broadway production and shortly thereafter received the Village Voice's Obie Award.
A full question and answer discussion will take place after each performance.
