SUMMARY:We Are Here\, We Will Be Seen Art Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:We Are Here\, We Will Be Seen is an exhibition hosted by Marshall University’s School of Art and Design in collaboration with Rise and Repaint. \nRise and Repaint is a global collective amplifying the voices of women and non-binary artists. With a global community of over 100\,000 people\, with 2\,000+ women artists connected through the Where Are The Women Artists directory and their Inner Circle membership platform. This work now extends beyond digital resources into physical exhibitions that expand visibility and equity in the arts. \nJoin us on February 5 for an evening at the Birke Art Gallery. Meet fellow art lovers\, connect with the community\, and experience powerful works firsthand. The reception runs from 6:00–7:30 PM and is completely free to attend. \nThe exhibition will be on view January 12 to February 20. The galleries are free and open to all. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday\, 10am to 4pm.

SUMMARY:40th Annual Student Juried Exhibition and Closing Reception
DESCRIPTION:Come spend an evening with the Visual Arts Center as we wrap up the 40th Annual Student Juried Exhibition\, juried by Huntington Museum of Art curator\, John Farley. The exhibition is on view in the Birke Art Gallery March 2 – March 26\, 2026. The closing reception will be held on March 26 at 6 PM. \nThe final night:\n– When: March 26 at 6 PM\n– Where: The Birke Art Gallery\n– What: Open galleries\, light snacks\, and an opportunity to meet the creative community. \nJuror Spotlight: This year’s juror is John Farley! After earning his BFA at Marshall University\, Farley returned as an adjunct professor and later served as Gallery Director.
