DESCRIPTION:Come spend an evening with the Visual Arts Center as we wrap up the 40th Annual Student Juried Exhibition\, juried by Huntington Museum of Art curator\, John Farley. The exhibition is on view in the Birke Art Gallery March 2 – March 26\, 2026. The closing reception will be held on March 26 at 6 PM. \nThe final night:\n– When: March 26 at 6 PM\n– Where: The Birke Art Gallery\n– What: Open galleries\, light snacks\, and an opportunity to meet the creative community. \nJuror Spotlight: This year’s juror is John Farley! After earning his BFA at Marshall University\, Farley returned as an adjunct professor and later served as Gallery Director. Today\, he curates at the Huntington Museum of Art\, bringing his journey full circle to guide the next generation of artists. \nAll Visual Arts Center galleries are free and open to everyone

SUMMARY:Overstimuli: Senior Capstone Exhibition Reception
DESCRIPTION:Marshall University School of Art & Design presents the Spring 2026 Capstone Exhibition Season\, a series of exhibitions showcasing the culmination of skills and ideas gathered by two groups of graduating students in the School of Art & Design. \nThe second exhibition\, Overstimuli\, is hosted by artists Sophia Gillispie\, Lincoln Horn\, Alana Muncy-Morris\, Kaleigh Riddle and Maggie Robinson. Overstimuli features projection mapping\, videos\, paintings and sculptures. \nOverstimuli will be on view April 20 – 23\, 2026 with a reception and gallery talk on Monday\, April 20 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Charles W. & Norma C. Caroll Gallery and the Pneumatic Gallery\, located on the first floor of the Visual Arts Center at 927 Third Ave.\, Huntington\, WV. \nStudents spend a year planning\, developing\, and installing the artwork while preparing the receptions and gallery talks. Senior Capstone Exhibitions celebrate the end of their students in the School of Art & Design and act as their first professional exhibition. \nGallery hours are Monday through Friday\, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.\nAdmission to the gallery and all events are free and open to the public. \nFor additional information or inquiries\, please contact Gallery Director\, Sophia Celdrán\, at galleries@marshall.edu
