DESCRIPTION:Come spend an evening with the Visual Arts Center as we wrap up the 40th Annual Student Juried Exhibition\, juried by Huntington Museum of Art curator\, John Farley. The exhibition is on view in the Birke Art Gallery March 2 – March 26\, 2026. The closing reception will be held on March 26 at 6 PM. \nThe final night:\n– When: March 26 at 6 PM\n– Where: The Birke Art Gallery\n– What: Open galleries\, light snacks\, and an opportunity to meet the creative community. \nJuror Spotlight: This year’s juror is John Farley! After earning his BFA at Marshall University\, Farley returned as an adjunct professor and later served as Gallery Director. SUMMARY:Full Gospel Assembly Matters of the Heart Healthy Heart Event
DESCRIPTION:The “Matters of the Heart” Healthy Heart Event sponsored by the Full Gospel Assembly Women’s Ministry\, 2101 Tenth Avenue\, Huntington\, WV will be held on Saturday\, February 7th 12:00 Noon. – 2:00 P.M. in the Cora C. Duckworth Fellowship Hall of the church. Please join us for an afternoon of education by local cardiologist\, Dr. Ellen Thompson\, a cooking demonstration by Timbalena Mathis\, R.N\, and Zumba lesson taught by certified instructors Tosha Hairston and Erica Harmon. The Marshall University Minority Health Institute will provide blood pressure checks and swag bags. Attendees will also enjoy a sampling of heart healthy treats and the opportunity to win great door prizes. Matters of the Heart Healthy Heart Event T-Shirts may be ordered by Sunday\, February 1st.
