DESCRIPTION:Heritage Farm will celebrate summer and Independence Day on Saturday\, July 5\, 2025 from 10 am to 5 pm. \n“With the Summer Ice Cream Festival falling on July 5 this year\, we thought it’d be fun to celebrate two things that make you think summer- ice cream and Fourth of July festivities\,” says Audy Perry\, Executive Director of Heritage Farm. “As you enjoy homemade ice cream\, you’ll be able to see a 10-foot tall Uncle Sam on stilts\, check out a cannon firing\, and get to see a portion of Patrick Henry’s famous ‘Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death’ speech. Plus\, animals eating watermelon!” \nOther special activities for the festival include sawmill demonstrations at 1 and 3\, one-room school house tours from 1 to 5\, and glass blowing\, candle making\, campfire cooking\, and bread over operation throughout the day. \nOne of the newest additions to Heritage Farm is making its Festival debut: the Science Zone\, located in the cabin between the Discovery Zone playground and the MakerSpace crafting area. Guests can try their hand at different science experiments as well as handheld devices that display a science or physics principle\, like Newton’s Cradle. Perry described it this way: “Starting at the Discovery Zone\, people can now check out the Six Simple Machines there\, then try experiments at the Science Zone\, and have MakerSpace with its creative opportunities at the end of that walking path. From one end to the other\, you can see how the world around us works.”

The first 10 participants in each class (Tai Chi & Yoga) will receive a free Cicada Books & Coffee voucher—a little treat for showing up early and moving with us!\n At 11AM\, bring the little ones for Dino Yoga and Kids Crafts with the Huntington Children’s Museum\, a fun and imaginative activity station that blends movement and creativity.\n Enjoy yard games in the park\, stroll the neighborhood for local shopping\, and admire the newly installed sculptures that make Central City so special.\n At 12pm\, gather in the park for live music by James Austin\, a talented country artist whose heartfelt tunes and homegrown sound are perfect for a summertime celebration of resilience\, freedom\, and community pride.\nBring your friends\, bring the family\, and bring your love for all things local! DESCRIPTION:Welcome to a safe and supportive space for your journey to motherhood (and beyond). A prenatal practice may help you relieve pregnancy aches and pains\, prepare for birth and connect with local moms-to-be. \nAlong with performing postures modified for the needs of your trimester\, you’ll cultivate a breathing practice\, develop stamina and strength and improve balance and circulation. \nTorie Sizemore is a RYT-200 yoga teacher and has been teaching yoga for over ten years. Since her recent pregnancy and birthing experience she learned to see her yoga practice in a whole new light. \nTorie has developed a passion for pre and post natal movement. She practiced yoga and taught group fitness throughout her pregnancy and truly believes it helped prepare her for birth and made her recovery more enjoyable. \nShe hopes to help Mamas embrace their changing bodies and feel their best throughout their pregnancy journey. \nJuly 12th-10-11:15 a.m.\nCost: $25\nHuntington studio
