DESCRIPTION:No event in the tri-state area is more of a tradition than the Ceredo-Kenova Alumni Band patriotic concert!  Faithfully\, year after year\, these talented and dedicated musicians bring us the time honored sounds that have marked this holiday for decades. \nFounded in 1990 by Mr. Charles M. Oshel\, former band director at Ceredo-Kenova High School\, this group of musicians and continuously entertained the tri-state area with not only this concert but with many\, many others. Mr. Oshel passed away a few years ago but his influence and talent continue strong with these dedicated musicians.  Mr. Oshel arranged almost all of the music the band plays giving them a signature sound that area residents continue to recognize and enjoy. Currently under the direction of Bill Galloway\, a full program of patriotic music will entertain and delight.  Ranging from the Star Spangled Banner to Yankee Doodle Dandy to the Battle Hymn of the Republic\, there is something for everyone. \nBring a chair and join your neighbors and friends at KENOVA TOWNE SQUARE PARK\, (15th and Chestnut Street – Kenova) at 7PM on Saturday\, JULY 6th as we celebrate this tradition that marks this important date in our history. \n
