DESCRIPTION:The Junior League of Huntington presents its fifth annual Hard Hats and Heroes event (formerly known as Touch-a-Truck) Sat.\, April 28\, from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Center for Education.\nHard Hats and Heroes provides a unique opportunity for children of all ages to explore vehicles such as a fire truck\, police car and helicopter\, among others. Participants are encouraged to touch their favorite vehicles\, get behind the wheels and meet the people who help to build\, protect and serve our community. Inflatables\, food\, drinks and other activities will also be available at this family-friendly event. There will also be a special horn-free hour from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. for children who are sensitive to loud sounds.

DESCRIPTION:Enjoy several varieties of wine along with tasty food and more as Cabell Huntington Hospital presents Uncorked!\, an annual fundraising festival which benefits the Marshall Artists Series. \n\n\n Uncorked! is set for 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday\, April 28\, at the Frederick Building and 21 at The Frederick\, located on 4th Avenue in downtown Huntington.\n\n\nTickets are $75 and are now available by calling the Marshall Artists Series at 304-696-6656. If tickets are still available the day of the festival\, they will be available for purchase at the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center\, beginning at 3 p.m. \n\n\n Advance tickets are encouraged as the event has sold out quickly in past years.
