DESCRIPTION:The Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District (GHPRD) is excited to announce a photo contest for the fall season! We want to take time to highlight our appreciation for our special community and want to know: what about the Huntington area are you especially grateful for? Show us with a photograph! \nWe will be awarding First\, Second\, and Third Place as well as an Honorable Mention for best photos conveying the theme “grateful”. \nSubmission is free! Each contestant may submit up to four images. \nPhotos may be of any photographic medium and size but must be matted or framed in some way. Please attach your name\, phone number\, and email address. Include your photo’s title\, medium\, year\, and any other significant information attached to the back of your photo. Submit in person or mail to the GHPRD office in Heritage Station at 210 11th St. Shop #1\, Huntington\, WV 25701.You should receive an email confirming your entry. DESCRIPTION:Join the Wild Ramp for a night full of holiday fun. Kristi Ruggles and Lori Bowling will be teaching a class on how to put together a beautiful and festive holiday wreath. They will be providing the supplies\, greenery\, and evergreen elements for guests to assemble their own individualized wreath. \nKristi Ruggles is the owner of Mountain Girl Provisions and a Master Gardener who has been a florist for many years. She enjoys spreading the holiday cheer to others and teaching them how to explore their creative side. Lori Bowling is the Boyd County Extension Agent and a true holiday bow aficionado. \nIn addition to assembling your own individual wreath guests will be witness to a demonstration of a hand tied box wreath display. He has never ventured alone beyond the end of his road\, he detests being touched\, and he distrusts strangers. Now it is 7 minutes after midnight\, and Christopher stands beside his neighbor’s dead dog\, Wellington\, who has been speared with a garden fork. A donation of $5.00 per submitted name is suggested but no required. Forms for submission of names are available at Kenova City Hall or at C-K Florist. Deadline for submission of names is November 20th. All names are also displayed at the Memorial Christmas Tree throughout the Holiday season. All donations benefit Kenova Beautification. \nIn addition to the reading of the names the Memorial service will include presentations by the Ceredo-Kenova Alumni Band\, Michael Pancake pianists\, vocals by Dale Capehart\, Syd Hanson and the Griffith Sisters and the reading of the Christmas Story by Rev.
