DESCRIPTION:ome out and marvel at the wild world of comics books during the 18th annual Free Comic Book Day running Saturday\, May 4. \n\n\nLocal shows will have a host of about 50 different free comic books including Marvel Comics “Spider-Man” and “The Avengers\,” as well as titles based popular television shows including “Doctor Who\,” “Riverdale\,” and “Stranger Things.” DC comics has a preview of “Under The Moon\,” a new young adult graphic novel about the origin of Catwoman. \n\n\nLocal shops participating include Comic World in Huntington\, The Inner Geek in Huntington and Ashland and Purple Earth Comics in Huntington\, and Superhero Creamery & T-Shirt Factory at the Ashland Town Center. \n\n\nTom Kane\, the voice actor of Yoda in “Star Wars: The Clone Wars\,” Professor Utonium in “The Powerpuff Girls\,” and Darwin in “The Wild Thornberrys\,” will be signing at Inner Geek from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Ashland and at the Huntington store (at Pullman Square) from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday.

DESCRIPTION:Comic World is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Joining Comic World in celebrating Walking Dead Day Saturday\, Oct. 13\, will be David McGee\, of The Rolling Dead. Along for the ride is his 1965 Triumph motorcycle\, a replica of Daryl Dixon’s Zombie Killer Chopper\, featured on the first four seasons of the Walking Dead TV show. The Zombie Killer Chopper replica will be on display\, at Comic World along with a tank autographed by every major character from the first four seasons of the show from 1 to 6 p.m.\nDavid’s Chopper has been featured at numerous comic conventions across the country\, and this is a chance to see it up close along with a free photo opportunity. In honor of “The Walking Dead” 15 year anniversary\, a new variant cover for the Walking Dead issue number 1 will be released. The cover features new artwork from Charlie Adlard.
