SUMMARY:Kenova Annual Memorial Tree Lighting
DESCRIPTION:On Monday\, Dec. 4\, at 7PM Kenova Beautification will host their annual Memorial and Tree Lighting Service.  This year marks the 17th year for this event\, initially suggested by Charlotte Webb\, as a way to remember those who were no longer with us.  Her Son had died in a tragic accident the year before. \nThe event will be held at the Kenova United Methodist Church at 15th and Poplar Street in Kenova.  The service includes musical selections by the Ceredo-Kenova Alumni Band\, pianist Michael Pancake and vocals by Rev. Jeff Canterbury and Frances Skeans Bloss.  Bill Cornwell of Kindred Communications will read the names of those being remembered and the Christmas Story will be read by Rev. Johnson of the Kenova Freewill Baptist Church.  Following the presentations the attendees will proceed to the corner of 14th and Chestnut where the Memorial Tree will be lighted. \nThe event is free of charge and open to the public.  For further information contact Nancy Price at 304-453-6814 or email at nprice1212@gmail.com.

SUMMARY:Kenova Memorial and Tree Lighting
DESCRIPTION:The City of Kenova will hold their annual Memorial and Tree Lighting on Monday\, November 25th. \nThe Annual event began at the suggestion of Charlotte Webb who had lost her son in a tragic automobile accident. \nParticipants may submit names that are then listed in the printed program and read aloud during the service held at the Kenova United Methodist Church. A donation of $5.00 per submitted name is suggested but no required. Forms for submission of names are available at Kenova City Hall or at C-K Florist. Deadline for submission of names is November 20th. All names are also displayed at the Memorial Christmas Tree throughout the Holiday season. All donations benefit Kenova Beautification. \nIn addition to the reading of the names the Memorial service will include presentations by the Ceredo-Kenova Alumni Band\, Michael Pancake pianists\, vocals by Dale Capehart\, Syd Hanson and the Griffith Sisters and the reading of the Christmas Story by Rev. Scott Byrd. \nFollowing the Service attendees will proceed to the Memorial Christmas Tree for a candle light service and the lighting of the tree. \nJoin us on Monday\, November 25th\, at 7:00 p.m. at the Kenova United Methodist Church as we celebrate the Season.

SUMMARY:Kenova Tree Lighting Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:Kenova Beautification has announced that their annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place on December 3\, 2018 at 7:00pm. Residents may recognize individuals by making a donation to Kenova Beautification. The lighting begins with an assembly at the Kenova United Methodist Church featuring various musical presentations followed by the reading of each of the names to be remembered or honored. Each name noted recalls a person who has made an impact in our community in some way. A printed program is given to each attendee. This year’s printed program will also recognize each of the individuals/businesses who donated a new street fixture. Each\nprogram is kept permanently kept at the Kenova City Hall and all\nnames honored will be displayed near the tree during the holiday\nseason in a lighted case. At the conclusion of the service attendees then proceed to the Memorial Tree\, located on the corner of 14th and Chestnut where candles are lit\, carols sung and the tree is lighted.
