DESCRIPTION:Get ready to soak up the sunshine and celebrate the season with GHPRD at our May Day Family Play (try saying that three times fast)!\nTaking place on Saturday\, May 2 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Westmoreland Park\, this free\, family-friendly event is the perfect way to get outside\, get active\, and connect with your community.\nIn partnership with the First Saturday Market at The West Edge Factory\, GHPRD is extending the fun across the street. This is the perfect the chance to enjoy both creative indoor experiences and outdoor recreation as the weather warms up!\nThis event serves as a mini preview of our larger Kids to Parks Day celebration happening later in May offering a taste of what’s to come while giving families an opportunity to jump into the fun early.\nWe’ll be bringing out our Recreation Wagon\, packed with all the goodies you love\, including:\n· Free-play yard games for all ages\n· Group activities like tag\, races\, and the always-popular parachute\n· Hands-on crafts and sidewalk chalk for those feeling creative and inspired\nWhether you’re looking to run\, play\, create\, or simply enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the park\, there’s something here for everyone.

DESCRIPTION:Here comes Peter Cottontail\, hopping down the bunny trail! In lieu of Easter-Eggstravaganza in Ritter Park\, the Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District is pleased to offer 8 safe\, socially distanced neighborhood Easter Egg Hunts this season. \nSchedule: \nSaturday\, March 13 \nWestmoreland Park @ 10:00 a.m. \nCamp Mad Anthony Wayne @ 4:00 p.m. \nSaturday\, March 20 \nHarveytown Park @ 10:00 a.m. \nSt. Cloud Commons Park @ 4:00 p.m. \nSaturday\, March 27 \nAltizer Park @ 10:00 a.m. \nApril Dawn Park @ 4:00 p.m. \nSaturday\, April 3 \nVeterans Memorial Park @ 10:00 a.m. \nMcClelland Park @ 4:00 p.m. \nEach hunt will include over 2\,500 candy and toy filled eggs along with additional special prizes. The Easter Bunny himself will also stop by each event for socially distanced photos. This event series is FREE and fun for all ages! Preregistration is required. Limit is 50 participants per hunt. In order to accommodate as many guests as possible please only register for one hunt.
