The exhibition is on view in the Birke Art Gallery March 2 – March 26\, 2026. The closing reception will be held on March 26 at 6 PM. \nThe final night:\n– When: March 26 at 6 PM\n– Where: The Birke Art Gallery\n– What: Open galleries\, light snacks\, and an opportunity to meet the creative community. \nJuror Spotlight: This year’s juror is John Farley! After earning his BFA at Marshall University\, Farley returned as an adjunct professor and later served as Gallery Director. DESCRIPTION:HACkS is excited to host artist Jasper Lee’s performance Time According to Sweet Wreath and opening video performance by Isa McMullen\n\n\n\nTime According to Sweet Wreath is an expanded cinema presentation of film\, music & spoken word by Jasper Lee\, which is part slideshow\, part video collage\, part electronic séance…this lyrical fusion of super8 films\, photographs\, folk lingo and soundscapes from the Sweet Wreath archive offers a poetics of memory\, media\, magic and time…A deep dive into the mythopoetic world of Sweet Wreath. Sweet Wreath is a project based in Alabama since 2016 which publishes music\, zines\, maps and books by interdisciplinary artists working with sound\, text and performance in the American underground & beyond. Notable releases include Johnny Coley’s Mister Sweet Whisper\, Silica Gel’s Wooden Shoe\, Vernal Scuzz’s debut & Hazel Cline’s Spell Song\, among others!\n\n\nYou can find more info about Jasper’s work and this project at sweetwreath.com\n\n\n\nIsa McMullen is a videographer\, photographer\, sculptor\, and writer hailing from Huntington\, West Virginia.
