Empty Bowls

Marshall University ceramics students spend two semesters handcrafting from scratch bowls for the one-day, four-hour event. Patrons can choose their bowl(s) from more than 1,000 made for specifically for Empty Bowls. The bowls cost $20 each, from which all proceeds benefit Facing Hunger Foodbank, the hub for a food network in parts of West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky. With that purchase, patrons are offered coupons from local area restaurants – one per purchase – while supplies last
