Ebenezer United Methodist Church

One of the very first African American churches in Huntington, Ebenezer United Methodist Church was established in the 1870s. In 1965, it became the very first integrated church in the state of West Virginia. During the 1970s, the church instituted a community outreach center that provided a safe environment for children to learn and grow. Eventually, a medical outreach clinic was established as well.
