19th Annual WV Re-Fashion Show

From trash to treasure….

Repurposing what some call trash to designs that can be worn and modeled on a runway on November 20th in Macy’s Court. Registration will be held the day of the event beginning at 11am and the show starts at 1pm.

Cash prizes!

Design and model it or… Design and have a friend model it.

Use your imagination to create an outfit from high fashion to cosplay or a science fiction theme.

Outfits must be made from recyclable or reused materials.

* Entries may be made by an individual or by a group. However, there will only be one prize awarded to the top pick from each category.

THEMED CATEGORIES
Participants may enter in one of the following categories:

Cosplay Comic-Con Challenge: Garments are made with reused or recyclable items in a design which is inspired from characters in animated movies, comic books, live action films, television shows or video games. No functional props or weapons are allowed.

Shopping Challenge: Garments and/or costumes being created with recycled items found in a retail setting including food court cups, bags, apparel tags, hangers, garment bags, store promotional materials, broken jewelry, etc.

Newspaper Challenge: Majority of garment must be made from newspapers.

General Theme: Anything goes, in this category! Any other non-specific themed item will be entered into the “General” category.

PRIZES
Themed Category Winners – $50 Gift Card for each category.

Overall Winners Each Age Categories: 1st Place – $150, 2nd Place – $100, 3rd Place $50.

Registration is conducted the day of the event, beginning at 11 a.m. and models under 18 must have parental consent.
