Affrilachian Poetry & Appalshop Films | Speaking of Appalachia – Film Screening and Poetry Reading

Readings by Affrilachian poet Crystal Good and two films; Mabel Hardison Smith (1985) and Evelyn Williams (1995) in the Visual Arts Center Room 209 from 6-7:30 followed by Crystal Good and musician Zack Kouns downstairs at the Cellar Door leading a  showcase of local poets, writers and musicians. This portion will be a forum for a community of friends, stakeholders, visionaries, and lovers of Appalachia.
Presented by the Marshall University College of Arts and Media, the Birke Fine Arts Symposium is made possible by the generosity of Helen Birke and her daughter, Julie, through the Birke Fine Arts Symposium Endowment.
