Artist Talk and Reception | Michael DeLuca

Marshall University School of Art & Design is pleased to present “Stratification”, an exhibition by Joan C. Edwards Distinguished Professor in the Arts, Michael DeLuca on view Sept. 16 through Oct. 24, 2024, in the Charles W. & Norma C. Carroll Gallery located on the first floor of the Visual Arts Center. Stemming from a profound need to create, “Stratification” highlights DeLuca’s deep engagement with materials, offering a visual exploration of emotions and the complexities of the human condition.
In addition to the exhibit, there will be an artist talk held on Thursday, Oct. 24 from 5 to 6 p.m. in VAC 209, where DeLuca will discuss his creative process. There will be a closing reception to follow from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Charles W. & Norma C. Carroll Gallery to facilitate further conversation with the artist and view the work on final time.
The exhibition will be on view Sept. 16 through Oct. 24, 2024 in the Charles W. & Norma C. Carroll Gallery, located on the first floor of the Visual Arts Center at 927 Third Ave., Huntington, WV.
Regular gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Admission to the gallery and all events is free and open to the public.
