Artist Talk | Bryan Hopkins

Marshall University School of Art & Design is excited to welcome visiting artist Bryan Hopkins, a renowned ceramic artist and potter from Buffalo, New York. Known for his expertise in moldmaking and his innovative approach to working in porcelain, Hopkins has established a reputation for pushing boundaries of traditional pottery techniques.
During his visit, Hopkins will visit with students in ART 447: Combined Ceramic Processes on Monday, Oct. 21, and Wednesday, Oct. 23. He will lead a hands-on demonstration, offering valuable insights into his moldmaking techniques and creative process.
As a part of his visit, the School of Art & Design will also host an artist talk on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 5:30 p.m. in Room 209 of the Visual Arts Center. In this lecture, Hopkins will discuss his artistic process and the evolution of his career, providing an in-depth look into his work and practice. The artist talk is free and open to the public.
