Creat(i've) Made Poetry

These workshops are intended to help encourage pre-teens & teens to tell their story, not for an audience, but for individual self expression and reflection. Harnessing creative literary techniques, we will use short stories, poetry, or simple scattered words to share our hearts on paper. The goal isn’t to create something that is perceived as “pretty”, but rather to build our strengths, giving life and light to the emotions and sensations that we are often conditioned to hide inside of ourselves.
Workshops are organized and lead by West Virginia native poet and writer, Melissa Clark.
Sliding scale in effect, suggested donation of $12 per child. Parental attendance is optional. Light snacks provided.
