Huntington’s historic floodwall completed in 1940 will be demolished Monday April 1 at 3pm. The City and the Army Core of Engineers will have a small ceremony at Heritage Station before a short crossing of Veteran’s Memorial Blvd to observe the ceremonial golden sledgehammer blows. Following this ceremony Ariana Grande will have a free concert with light refreshments at Heritage Station. Bring earplugs! The wrecking crew will be loud.
