Foley Artistry Workshop

This Workshop explores live sound effects for the 1940’s radio drama “Mr. Mergenthwirker’s Lobblies.” Marlette Carter, who is the Assistant Managing Director of the Alban Arts Center, will provide a number of sound effect tools and instruments to create a unique sound scape for Marshall University’s School of Theatre and Special Collections Library performance and collaboration. Marlette will assist students and artistic staff in manufacturing sound effect tools and instruments, exploring Foley artist characterization, and interaction with the cast and audience.
This workshop is provided free of charge to students and community members. Seating is limited, so please indicate if you would like to attend.
We will be using the 6th Avenue entrance at the Joan C. Edwards Performing Arts Center. (Rear of building)
