HMA Block Party : Where Art Comes to Life

The Huntington Museum of Art will host an HMA Block Party: Where Art Comes to Life on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, from 5 to 8 p.m. This family-friendly event is part of the 4th Tuesday Tour Series at HMA. Admission to the event is free.
The event will focus on three-dimensional works of art including performance art. Scattered throughout the museum visitors will encounter interactive living statues of notable artists. HMA neighbor Studio 8 will join the event and offer a mala-making activity and guided meditation in the Virginia Cavendish Courtyard. The Education Department will offer a 3-dimensional craft opportunity in the Education Gallery. Two food trucks – The Viper Wood Fired Oven Pizza and Bite Mi – are scheduled to attend so visitors can purchase something to eat at the event.
Vendors will set up in the Virginia Van Zandt Great Hall. Participating artisans include ceramicists Eric Pardue, Susan Maslowski of Mud River Pottery, and Em Marshall, Lego artist Lance Schrader, silversmith Teresa Gail Designs, crochet artist Craft Chick Crochet, and mixed media artist Gabby Cooper.
