Calling all Hooligans!!! It’s that time of the year again – time to let your hair down and get your horns up! That’s right, the best music festival around is back for another year. Now that we have two of these under our belts, I guess we can start calling it a tradition.
The folks at the V-Club were so good to us last year that we are returning there again, but for 2 extra hours this time. We have at least 38 musicians showing up to lay down 7 hours of the finest metal for your listening pleasure. This will include short sets by 7 full bands (including the long-awaited Oney reunion), along with a 2 hour Rogue Dog set, which is sure to include a dream-team lineup to everyone’s liking. Come see many of the folks who have spent more than 30 years keeping Huntington LOUD.
As with prior years, this will be a charity event. Over the past 2 years, you Hooligans have graciously donated thousands of meals for our friends and neighbors in the Tri-State, along with hundreds of dollars to help local critters. We will again be collecting non-perishable food donations at the door for the Huntington Area Food Bank and will have Little Victories no kill animal shelter on hand to take your cash or pet supply donations. Please bring all you can spare and show this town (yet again) how generous Hooligans really are. We will also have Brand Yourself on hand with a new assortment of Hooligan swag, some Derby Girls to skate over your broken hearts and Stoney Chaffin with his hand-rolled cigars.
So dig out that leather jacket, invite all your friends (plus that guy that owes you money), and join us at the V-Club on May 26. Doors open at noon, first note around 1. Can’t wait to see you Hooligans again!
