Huntington Kennel Club All Breed Dog Show

The Huntington Kennel Club’s All Breed Dog Show Obedience and Rally Trials will take place at 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 6-7, at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena. Admission is free both days, and this will be the Kennel Club’s 103rd and 104th shows, on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Cash prizes will be awarded to winners. 559 dogs will participate in Saturday’s show, with 529 returning Sunday. A raffle will also take place during the dog show, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday only, and proceeds are donated to the Huntington Cabell Wayne Animal Shelter. Items to be raffled off include a flat screen television and gift cards.

The dog show will begin with males and females of each breed competing, with winners moving onto the group competition. The groups are sporting, hound, working, terrier, toy, non-sporting and herding groups. Eight judges will preside over the dog show.
