Empire Books and News at Pullman Square celebrates Independent Bookstore Day Saturday, April 28.
Empire will kick off the celebration at 11 a.m. in Carnival style with costumed staff hosting a day of games and prizes for all ages, popcorn, lemonade, animal balloons, a llama activity center, caricature drawings and tarot readings. There also will be several raffle drawings, including a grand raffle prize valued at more than $200 which is Harry Potter-themed.
