Mark your calendars! Ohio Poet Laureate Kari Gunter-Seymour is visiting us here at Marshall!
Join us for a wonderful night of poetry with Kari Gunter-Seymour, an award-winning poet, Academy of American Poets Laureate Fellowship recipient, and ninth-generation Appalachian storyteller!
Kari is the author of Dirt Songs (2024), Alone in the House of My Heart (2022), and A Place So Deep Inside America It Can’t Be Seen (2020). Her work has been featured in venues such as The New York Times, Verse Daily, and World Literature Today. She’s also the executive director of the Women of Appalachia Project and the host of Spoken & Heard, a national literary series.
This event is FREE & open to the public!
