Kenova Annual Memorial Tree Lighting

On Monday, Dec. 4, at 7PM Kenova Beautification will host their annual Memorial and Tree Lighting Service.  This year marks the 17th year for this event, initially suggested by Charlotte Webb, as a way to remember those who were no longer with us.  Her Son had died in a tragic accident the year before.

The event will be held at the Kenova United Methodist Church at 15th and Poplar Street in Kenova.  The service includes musical selections by the Ceredo-Kenova Alumni Band, pianist Michael Pancake and vocals by Rev. Jeff Canterbury and Frances Skeans Bloss.  Bill Cornwell of Kindred Communications will read the names of those being remembered and the Christmas Story will be read by Rev. Johnson of the Kenova Freewill Baptist Church.  Following the presentations the attendees will proceed to the corner of 14th and Chestnut where the Memorial Tree will be lighted.
