Maker Fundamentals Workshop: Computer Controlled Cutting

This workshop will put you at the helm of an X Carve CNC router! You’ll use intuitive design software to create a 2D project, and learn milling and machining basics, resources and websites; you’ll also maintain access to software design tools for free!
After you design or download your 2D project, we’ll show you the basics of operating the machine and cutting your project. We’ll provide sheets of plywood and cutting bits, and show you how to operate the X Carve CNC cutter/carver in our Maker Vault! No experience or expertise required. You’ll get to take your small project home with you the same day.
Kids of all ages welcome, under 7 accompanied by an adult for Mom & Dad Make! Cost is $15 per person ($15 per child for Mom & Dad Make; parent participation free when you work with your child on his/her project!)
