FreeNight, Mother by Marsha Norman will begin streaming tomorrow night featuring our Emerging Artists Showcase and student led production.

My biggest “Ah-Ha” moment was when the relationship between the two characters really felt like mother and daughter. In mother-daughter relationships, there is always a bit of push and pull. Relationships are never one level (despite what it may seem like to Dad). There is love amongst the bickering, but there are also tense moments of honesty that come out of the hurt. Watching Nikki and Kendra find those key moments together reminded me a bit of my own relationship with my mom and it helped us all to connect to the piece at a deeper level.
