Poetry, Spoken Art. Workshop by Kirk Judd

During the event, Kirk will explain the premise that poetry is a spoken word art, discuss why a poetry reading is not reading, and describe poetry from a performance perspective. He will provide interactive tips and techniques for writing and presenting poetry and will spend time answering questions and discussing relevant topics.

The workshop will offer participants a chance to get creative with engaging activities designed to create and share unique work. Attendees will complete hands on exercises and employ suggested techniques to come away with new material in their original voice.
