Sipology 101: The Foundations of Wine

Wine is the world’s oldest alcoholic beverage and has been enjoyed by humans for roughly 8000 years! This wonderful elixir that many of us have come to love can, at times, be daunting. How does one come to know the differences between wines? This 4-week course is designed to offer simple answers to enhance your understanding of the world of wine!

-Structural Components of Wine
-Principal Grape Varieties
-Wine Storage
-How To Taste Wine
-Food and Wine Pairing

This is a 4-week course and will meet the following dates:
-Tuesday, March 29 @ 6:30 pm
-Tuesday, April 5 @ 6:30 pm
-Tuesday, April 12 @ 6:30 pm
-Tuesday, April 19 @ 6:30 pm

About the instructor:
John Seals has been working at Sip for 5 years. Over his time with Sip, his knowledge of wine has gone from virtually nothing to becoming one of the areas leading experts of wine. He currently holds his Level 2 Certification with the Wine Spirit Education Trust with his Level 3 results pending. He has also begun his certifications with the Court of Master Sommeliers and will be taking the Level 1 Sommelier examination in late February of 2022. He has hosted several wine tastings and dinners at Sip and has developed the curriculum for this course.
