Speed Dating at Cicada Books

Speed-dating is an oft-forgotten relic from a time before internet dating. And we’re bringing it back! For the first three weeks in February, Cicada Books is hosting two hours of speed dating on Monday evenings. Hate digital dating? Terrified of Tinder? This is a great alternative. It’s a low-stakes way to meet people face-to-face. Meet a new friend or find a date for Valentine’s Day!
February 4th – Literary Speed Dating
Bring a copy of your favorite book to discuss. (We think bookworms make the best dates!) All genders welcome.
February 11th – Last Minute Valentine Speed Dating
Don’t listen to the haters: it’s not too late to get a date for Valentine’s Day (or a new pal for Galentine’s Day!) All genders welcome.
February 18th – Gay Speed Dating
Dating can be hard when you’re looking at a smaller pool of people: we’re here to help! From 7-8, women can meet women. From 8-9, men can meet men!
