The event is free and open to the public and will take place virtually as a Zoom meeting on Monday, January 18 at 7 P.M. John Neyer and Steve Eggleston are co-authors of Conflicted, a Tripp Splatter Novel.
John Neyer is a third generation native of Ashland, KY. He attended VCU in Richmond VA for 2 years and then the University of Kentucky for 1.5 years. He’s had a varied career, from training Arabian horses in the US and Brazil to working as an investigator and partner with Steve Eggleston in his law firm in SF and at the beginning of Eggman Global Agency. Currently, he lives in Decatur, GA.
Steve Eggleston is a native of Ashland. He attended the University of KY, received his BS in Political Science from the University of Maryland in 1978, and graduated from Lincoln Law School in Sacramento in 1982.For decades, Steve has been collaborating on books and other publications. He and his family make their home in Somerset, England.
John Bullock is an Englishman who has an MFA in fiction writing from the University of Virginia. His stories have appeared in the Antioch Review, Fifth Wednesday, the Laurel Review, Prague Review, Clackamas Literary Review, in the anthology, Open Windows III, and in other journals. He teaches high school English in rural Ohio. Mark Small, This is Your Life is his debut novel.
The “Writers Can Read” open mic night reading series takes place on the third Monday of each month (all year) from 7:00-8:30 in Huntington, WV. This month it will again take place virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event features two award-winning, published authors that serve as “featured readers” who begin the event each month. Previous featured readers have included: Marc Harshman, Denise Giardina, Crystal Wilkinson, Jonathan Corcoran, Doug Van Gundy, Robert Gipe, Nick White, and others. Afterwards, the mic is open to anyone in the audience that would like to share a creative work.
