8th Annual Jeff Kovatch Cleanup

Fourpole Creek Watershed Association wants to invite you to a community wide cleanup set for 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4th.
Volunteers are needed to help clean up litter from the banks of the Ohio River at Harris Riverfront Park in downtown Huntington. Volunteers will be provided gloves, garbage bags, litter pick-up sticks, and refreshments. The memorial cleanup honors the legacy of Dr. Jeff Kovatch, a Marshall University biology professor, who passed away Nov. 5, 2016 at the age of 43. Kovatch was a member of Fourpole Creek Watershed Association, an avid outdoorsman, conservationist and paddler, and was active doing research on the Ohio River and local waterways.
