Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District to Celebrate 100 Years with Community Party in Ritter Park
The Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District (GHPRD) is proud to announce its 100th Anniversary Celebration, taking place Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in beautiful Ritter Park.
This free milestone event is open to the public and will offer a fun-filled afternoon for all ages, packed with activities that reflect both the rich history and bright future of GHPRD.
Event Highlights Include:
* Historical artifacts and photo displays honoring 100 years of community impact
* Live music throughout the event
* Inflatables and face painting for kids
* Tractor barrel rides through the park
* Yard games and interactive fun for all ages
* Balloon artist and crafts station
* Raffles and special commemorative giveaway items
* Free refreshments while supplies last
“This event is a way for us to celebrate a century of parks, programs, and community with the people who made it all possible,” said GHPRD Executive Director Kathy McKenna. “We invite everyone to come out, have fun, and help us make more memories in Ritter Park.”
