LGBTQ+ Community Care
November 21 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
We need each other now more than ever. Come to West Edge Factory on Thursday, November 21 to share some food, receive a care package, and spend safe, healing time in community.
This event is for all ages, but those under 16 should be accompanied by an adult.
We will be making mala bead necklaces and learning how to use them as a tool for deep breathing and meditation. If you have any extra beads to share feel free to bring them, or any special charms you’d like to add to your own.
Also feel free to bring any snacks to share, or anything you’d like to share to help care for others. None of this is necessary, all you really need to bring is yourself.
Please RSVP if you plan to come so I can be sure to have enough of everything.
You are all so loved, and I’m looking forward to spending time together
ABOUT THE KALEIDOSCOPE SERIES:
Kaleidoscope is a free monthly creative workshop series for the LGBTQ+ community, held at West Edge Factory and hosted by Sassa Wilkes. These events are made possible in partnership with Huntington Pride. Events are typically held on the last Thursday evening of each month with some exceptions (start and end times vary). The goal of this series is to give those in the LGBTQ+ community a safe and creative space to explore new hobbies, skills, and interests for free with others in their community. Snacks and drinks are always provided. Due to the nature of materials we work with and themes explored, events are typically best suited for ages 16 and up unless stated otherwise. If you are a parent and have questions about whether a workshop would work well for your child, please reach out to Sassa at sassawilkes@gmail.com. Come hang out with us!
