Mountaineer Opry

The Country Gentlemen Show is a premium, high-energy touring tribute dedicated to preserving and executing the historic musical legacy of International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame inductees, Charlie Waller & The Country Gentlemen. Originally formed in 1957 in the Washington, D.C. area, the original Country Gentlemen revolutionized bluegrass by bridging the gap between rigid traditional mountain styles and modern folk-pop finesse. The Country Gentlemen Show was originally born out of a successful studio recording collaboration with late, long-time “Gents” alumnus Bill Yates. Rather than serving as a simple cover band, “The Show” acts as the formal custodians of this material. They breathe fresh life into iconic 1960s thru 1980s vocal arrangements, driving multi-part harmonies, and complex acoustic instrumentation with unmatched authority.
