Pumpkin Smash Bash

We are celebrating the opening of Black Diamond with a smash! Join us for a family friendly event filled with live music, a community arts workshop, a pumpkin smashing activity, a kid’s bounce house, warm up stations with refreshments, and much more. This event is free and open to the public, located at the Black Diamond Facility on November 5th from 12 to 4pm

The pumpkin collection and smashing will take place in the yard of the Black Diamond Facility. Safety gear will be provided. The collected pumpkins will supplement food for animals raised at Coalfield’s Highwall site in Mingo County and the rest will be composted. Both carved and uncarved pumpkins will be accepted. Please avoid any pumpkins containing paint, candle wax, or any other toxic or foreign objects.
