Young Illustrator’s Contest Winners to be Recognized at HMA on Jan. 27 at 6 p.m.
The winners of the Young Illustrator’s Contest presented by The Cabell County Reading Council will be recognized at the Huntington Museum of Art on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026, at 6 p.m. Admission to this 4th Tuesday Tour Event is free. Light refreshments will be served.
“HMA’s 4th Tuesday Tour on January 27 is the result of HMA’s long-standing relationship with Cabell County Schools and the Cabell County Reading Council,” said HMA Director of Education Cindy Dearborn. “For several years HMA has been displaying the artwork by the winners in The Young Illustrator’s Contest in the Education Gallery. We will continue to display the winning artworks and, for the second year in a row, also honor the young artists in person during a special 4th Tuesday Tour Event.”
The Young Illustrator’s Contest, which has been taking place for more than 25 years, honors one student in each grade from kindergarten through 12th grade.
The 4th Tuesday Tour Series at HMA takes place on the fourth Tuesday of each month and features a guided tour, guest speaker or other special event. For more information about membership or programs at HMA, call (304) 529-2701. HMA is fully accessible.
